Cats Protection is a National Charity solely for cats and Hillingdon Branch is one of over 250 voluntary Branches throughout the UK and Northn Ireland. Our core aims being to help and rehome unwanted cats/kittens, neuter cats and kittens of breeding age and to educate the general public on the care of cats and kittens.

As a Branch, we do not have central premises where we keep the cats/kittens but rely on a series of fosterers who take the cats/kittens into their own homes until such time as we can hopefully find a permanent new and loving home. We are however limited as to the numbers we can take in as CP cats/kittens have to be kept separate from a fosterers’ own cat(s). CP cats are not allowed to ‘free roam’ whilst in the care of a fosterer. All kittens and cats are routinely vet checked, de fleaed and wormed whilst in our care.

As with all Branches of Cats Protection, we have an Adoption Fee (currently £80.00 per kitten or cat), payable by cash or cheque, on adoption. We also rehome on a 4 week complementary Pet Plan Insurance – there is however an excess as indicated on the rehoming paperwork.
KITTENS: We do not rehome until they are at least 9 wks of age. They will have had their first vaccination and a microchip.
ADULT CATS: Will have been neutered, vaccinated and microchipped.

We will help (when we can) to trap, neuter and return feral cats to site if healthy and a food source is available.

Our current activities encompass Hillingdon Borough, parts of Langley, Iver and Iver Heath as well as London Heathrow Airport.

Being a branch of Cats Protection means that, for the most part, we are self funding to provide the veterinary care (via a number of local vets), food, litter etc that is required in helping the cats and all monies raised by us does go towards the care of the cats/kittens

Being a volunteer for Cats Protection has many facets:

Having a knowledge of how the Charity works and promoting the work and core aims of Cats Protection
Offering information to and dealing with members of the public
Organising and/or helping at fundraising events
Being part of a team

Most important of all, helping the cats to a better life.
